HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf Multifunction Printer can print at a rate of 21 pages per minute, or approximately one page every three seconds. This is an all-in-one printer, so you can use it for copying, scanning, and faxing. It’s a network printer that can connect to any office or home network.

The HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf MFP is, in most regards, one of the best color laser all-in-ones (AIOs) for the money. It has good speed and output quality, as well as practically every AIO function you could imagine. Unfortunately, it misses out on one key function by not including duplexing, or the ability to print on both sides of a page.

Duplexing is available in a much more expensive model, but you’ll also be paying for other services you might not need. What you’re left with is an AIO that’s certainly worth looking into, but it is one duplexer short of being a slam-dunk winner.

Performance

HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf, which is clearly aimed at a small office or workgroup, prints, scans, and faxes across a network and can also serve as a standalone fax machine and color copier. Furthermore, it provides you with two options for sending e-mail: It functions as a solo e-mail sender and can also scan to a PC on your network, opening a new message in the PC’s e-mail program and attaching the scanned document.

With a standard capacity of 300 sheets divided into a 250-sheet drawer and a 50-sheet multipurpose tray, the paper handling should be suitable for most offices. With an optional second drawer, the maximum capacity is 550 sheets. 

The flatbed scanner can only take letter-size paper, but the 50-page automated document feeder (ADF) can handle legal-size paper in addition to scanning, faxing, and copying multipage documents.

Output quality

The printer’s overall output quality is also a positive. The text clarity isn’t quite up to par for a laser, but it’s more than adequate for most commercial applications. At 6 points, moreover half of the fonts in our text test were well-formed and intelligible, and some were readable at smaller sizes as well. 

Unless you have a specific requirement, such as a 4-point type for legal contracts, the printer should be able to handle whatever text you need to print.

HP Color LaserJet CM2320nf graphics output is excellent, with no noticeable faults. The quality meets or exceeds expectations for marketing materials such as trifold brochures and one-page glossy handouts. 

Similarly, photo quality is excellent for a color laser, and readily sufficient for client newsletters and marketing brochures. HP’s glossy photo paper can also be used for printing photos of residences to give to potential purchasers at a real estate company.
