The Epson XP-4100 Small-in-One Printer, which is one of the most recent products of the manufacturer, is low-volume equipment that offers printing, copying, and scanning functions. 

Even though it is not intended for intricate and heavy professional graphic uses, it delivers decent printing products. Text and photos are produced well despite the relatively high per-page cost. The tasks such as document copying, printing, and scanning from the local computer drive or the cloud can be navigated through the 2.4-inch LCD display with multiple buttons available on its control panel. This display doesn’t support touch screen ability, so you need to use the button array.

The XP-4100 provides relatively limited volume and capacity ratings, but apparently this is a common occurrence in its class category. Its paper tray is only able to hold up to 100 sheets of HVS paper and up to 20 sheets of photo paper.

The printer enables borderless photo printing at commonly used paper sizes such as A4, letter, 8×10 inches, 5×7 inches, 4×6 inches, and 3.5×5 inches papers. The 100-sheet tray feeds paper into the printing machine from its location at the rear position.

The volume ratings are not published by the manufacturer, as it does with its other current products. Volume ratings explain about the recommended volume of printing and the maximum duty cycle, both in monthly basis. The speed number is claimed to be 10 pages per minute (ppm).

The output quality of the Epson XP-4100 is quite appealing. It produces well-shaped text with proper character tracking, kerning, and leading or line spacing. However, similar to majority of low-volume printers, it seems to struggle with PowerPoint or Excel full-color graphs.

There are three computer connection options available for the XP-4100: the USB cable, the Wi-Fi, and the Wi-Fi direct connections. Beyond these three options, you will be provided with wireless protocols for smartphone and tablet devices as well. The Wi-Fi connection feature allows you to connect the devices via network, and the Wi-Fi Direct connection feature enables direct connection between your devices and the printer without needing router or local network connection.

Other available connectivity choices for mobile devices comprise of Scan to Cloud, Google Cloud Print, Fire OS, and Apple AirPrint. The manufacturer also equips the Epson XP-4100 with bunch of workflow r productivity apps, such as Epson Remote Print, Epson Email Print, Epson Print and Scan App, Epson iPrint App, and Creative Print App.
