The scanner features a 50-sheet ADF, and a full-width control panel with a number pad, navigation arrows, and buttons for mono and color copies is mounted in front of it at a fixed angle. The menu structure and visuals on the display are both reasonable.

The layout is straightforward, with paper documents flowing in from the back and ejecting from the front, the top tray lifting to display the scanner, and the entire upper part open to reveal the inkjets and rollers.

Performance

ET-4500’s a 30-page auto document feeder (ADF) for photocopying paper is located on the printer’s top, while the receiving area is located right beneath it. The entire assembly pulls up to show the document scanning platform in A4 format. The two-section paper stacker tray is in the back, and the single-section pull-out receiving tray is at the front right, at the base, with a lift-up flap to prevent the paper from falling to the floor.

The chamber holding the ink tanks is on the right, with a single flip-up top that covers all four reservoirs. The control panel is designed with a 5.6 cm mono LCD screen, keypad, and extra buttons (Redial/Pause, Contacts, and Stop/Reset).

Both cable-linked (USB, Ethernet), networked, and Wi-Fi remote devices have a variety of connectors (Wi-Fi, Epson Connect, Epson Email Print, Epson iPrint, etc and there is also fax capability.

Epson ET-4500’s EcoTank system has the equivalent of around 20 14 milliliter cartridges, which can print up to 4000 black pages and 6500 color pages. There are no cartridges on top of the print head because the ink is delivered via tubes, saving wear and offering a smoother operation. T664 code is used for the four inks: magenta, cyan, yellow, and black. Ink levels may be seen by glancing at the side of the translucent ink tanks or by gazing at the ‘Main’ panel.
