As the name implies, Canon PIXMA MX452 is a wireless all-in-one printer that belongs to one of the MFPs designed more for office rather than home needs. It is priced at 382.23 dollars in the Canada market. It comes with office-centric features such as fax capabilities and ADF. 

It doesn’t mean that this printer is not appropriate for home & home office. It can even be used as a personal printer.

Features

This machine prints from, faxes from, and scans to a PC. Besides, it works as a standalone copier as well as fax machine, too. The ADF supplements a letter-sized flatbed. The ADF can handle multipage documents & legal-size pages.

This printer lacks Ethernet. However, it comes with Wi-Fi. Therefore, you can share it on a network. This printer is best limited to personal use strictly because of the same limited paper handling. For your information, MX452 also offers a 100-sheet tray. Unfortunately, it has no duplexer and upgrade options.

It is important to know that this machine supports AirPrint. But you cannot directly connect to use AirPrint. Both your phone/tablet and the printer should connect through a Wi-Fi access point on your network.

Speed & Output Quality

Canon PIXMA MX452 is rated at an effective 2.1 ppm. This speed is not an unusually slow for the price range. The good news is that this printer scores better on output quality compared to its speed. For your information, text quality is better than the majority of inkjet multifunction printers can manage, that makes it good for most business purposes.

Graphics output is par for an inkjet multifunction printer, making it great for internal business need including PPT handouts. You can consider the graphics nice for output going to an important customer or client. Photos also qualify as par quality, but just barely. It translates to true photo quality, but a match for the worst you expect from drugstore prints.

MX452 wireless AIO printer, in most ways, is a capable personal multifunction printer that can go toe-to-toe with Brother MFC-J430. Its speed is its one shortcoming that makes Brother Printer the better option for most office needs. On the other hand, Canon printer comes with better graphics output. 

If you want a printer that can scan to a USB memory key, Canon PIXMA MX452 can be the better fit. Of course, it is a reasonable option in any case.
